Why am I writing about this, because I am convinced that there is someone else in the world that cares. I recently installed a Fast Media Modulator made by Steren Electronics, but the task did not prove easy. The device is simple, in fact, really simple! The problem is, I couldn’t find documentation ANYWHERE concerning the dip switch settings necessary for proper modulation. I hunted high and low and couldn’t quite find what I needed. After several phone calls I was assisted in locating the instruction manual for the Steren Electronics Digital Modulator 550-080. With this in hand, the task was completed in less time than it takes to drink a 12 ounce.
My only reason for writing about this is to provide a place on the internet that makes it easy to locate the Installation Guide. All the DIP switch settings for NTSC, CATV NTSC, and HRC NTSC are provided. You may download the complete manual direct from myself here in PDF: Steren Digital Modulator 550-080.
That is all. If you were looking for a review of the product. Um…. It works, it’s simple. If you don’t need to change the output channel frequently and its for a small installation, then yes, you should buy it. There we go, that about wraps it up for me and the world of RF modulation.
