The Kansas City Shuffle is a deception move characterized by causing the victim to look right as you attack from the left. You may have already known this, especially if you recently watched Lucky Number Slevin. Lucky Number Slevin is a great film about mistaken identity (or so it seems) causing Slevin to be put into the middle of a war plotted by two of the city’s most rival crime bosses. The plot is ingenious, but you’ll have to watch it - I don’t want to give it away!

It’s not very often that I rate a movie so highly, but I think I have to give this one a 10 out of 10 in Jeff’s world of movie ratings. I started this movie not thinking I would like it very much - but turns out I was wrong. Everything, including the camera angles, timing, editing, characters, plot, the Kansas City Shuffle, and especially the dialog - these all make this movie worth rating a ten! If you haven’t seen it, you should certainly go make it a point to rent. I’ll warn you now - you’ll have to pay attention.

I’ve included the trailer so that you can get a feel for the movie, though I’m not sure it does the whole thing justice. Give it a try - let me know what you think. Watch the trailer:

“They look right…and you look left”
