I purchased CopyTrans ($20) and the program was worth EVERY PENNY! The demo version only transfers 100 songs. The full version transfers everything. It took a few hours to transfer 21 gigabytes of music from my iPod back to my laptop, but that certainly beats the alternative of attempting to rebuild and re-rate every one of my over 3,500 songs.
